Maria Solei JarvetMaria Solei is at the moment a second-year student of dance and choreography at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School. She has been dancing since 4 years old. She comes from a background of ballet school, contemporary, and hip-hop but has been always open and passionate about trying all that is available and yet to discover. As a teenager, Maria was introduced to improvisation, styles like Ragga, Gaga, House, jazz, Cunningham technique, circus as well as belly dance. She has experience attending and judging dance competitions, being a member of a professional dance company (ETA Tantsukompanii, Estonia), and choreographing for music videos (TEPR, France). Within the last few years, She has been focusing more on teaching, choreographing, and dance therapy. She believes in individualism but is a big fan of group dynamics. She feels connected to the value of passion for dance to move people and make them want to dance. To develop as a dancer, it is important to be open to trying something new and difficult - positive changes begin where the comfort zone ends!
